30 Days Wild - Day 13

I went to explore the world beneath our feet in my favourite cave today (one that features in my project every year!) and then smelled flowers in the park afterwards.

Lots of photos of the cavern and the flowers on the blog... http://louises30dayswild.blogspot.co.uk/2015/06/day-13.html

Giving me the chills but looks like an interesting cave. Off to your blog now.

Great capture of these underground formations Louise, fav. I've been caving in West Virginia a number of times in the rather distant past--will never do it again, but I'm always glad I got to see a part of the Earth which most people never do see.

Fantastic. Is it a big cave - can you go far inside? No Caves around here I'm afraid (only lots of tunnels, but you're not allowed to walk there ;-)

@helstor Yes you can. It's a large cave and visitors receive a guided tour. The short video here will give you a bit of an idea...

Super! I've been in the Peak Cavern (The Devil's Arse) and once went caving there with a friend. Very beautiful, different world.

@overalvandaan Yes! Have you been to the other caverns in castleton? Speedwell, Treak Cliff and the other blue john mine?

I've been to Speedwell cavern too, but didn't cave there, just visited it. Walked a lot, Win Hill and Loose Hill. My friends live in Castleton. Also love Stanage Edge en Kinder!
