365 Days Wild - Day 99

Early morning mist and golden sunlight. ]

Back to school today so this, plus a bit of butterfly hunting in the garden this evening, were the most wild things I could managed today!

This is fabulous Louise! It looks like you have been wandering round the Yorkshire wolds. The layers of mist are just beautiful making it a very atmospheric image. The composition of the winding fence and the zig zag through the hills really leads you through the scene. I also think the portrait aspect sets this off so well. Instant fav, I could easily see this hung on a wall or in a gallery somehwere. Reminds me a bit of a very old country painting! Love it Louise!!!!

This is fantastic - reminds me of that famous Caspar David Friedrich painting https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wanderer_above_the_Sea_of_Fog

@boxplayer yes, I see what you mean. Someone said that about another of my photos a while back. Maybe one misty morning I should do a retake of this one, hehe - http://365project.org/roachling/365/2013-01-12

Beautiful shot Louise. I know you don't edit your shots, but to me, if you crop away the bright sky at the top this image looks even better. Big Fav.

@helstor Thank you - you're right. I do sometimes crop photos (I know how to do that much, hehe!) but hadn't even really noticed the bright white at the top until you pointed it out. Something to consider for next time!
