A good shot to show the newt. It's great that th children were fascinated and not afraid to hold them. What a lot of things you made and did with them, such a good scheme. Well done you.
You never know what you're going to get pond dipping but newts are never a disappointment. Always exciting for kids to find and handle. Sounds like a good day was had by all.
@stephanies thank you. It's a smooth newt. If you look closely there's a much younger one too which still has its gills in bottom left corner of the white tray.
