Pappa Loon, Strutting His Stuff and Drawing My Attention Away from the Nest!

I've seen this "posting and wing spreading" behavior many times but today it seemed to be purposefully distracting. Who knows?

Thanks for taking the time to comment. One of the things I love about these birds is that there's only one pair that come to this small pond each year so I really get to know the individuals. A sad years when a chick is lost and triumph when one finally fledges.
