Active Beaver Lodge

Haven't seen the beaver since early this spring, but newly chewed growth around the lodge says he's somewhere near. Maybe I'm just going at the wrong time of day?

I tried this morning. Thought it was a beaver far off;
Turned out to be a chipmunk close in. Didn't know they swam!
