Two cruise ships in as many days in the Bar Harbor.
The rock was there when they came in and still there when they left. Most likely sitting there since the last ice age.

Thanks for stopping in, bkb. So how are things in Alberta? A beautiful province, for sure. Traveled through many times on my way between New England and Alaska.
@leananiemand@lyno
Thanks Leana and Lyn.
Re: "something about ships and trains". I think I've figured it out. Ships float. Trains sink. Both made of iron. Go figure! (Sorry! Just had a bad case of the "cain't hep its". ;-)
Great shot. I live on the west coast of Canada in BC. Cruise ships pass our property in the summer months on their way to Alaska. We have a big rock like this that stands alone. I did a double take when I saw your shot on the suggestions page.
@kwind KWind, Thanks for taking the time to stop in and comment. I lived in S.E. Alaska for about 20 years. Love B.C. Especially the Fraser Hiway. Many trips down the Alcan, etc. Enjoy a bit of it for me!
Thanks, Sharon!
