I'm used to the loons quietly slipping under the water and reappearing just as silently. (Unless something has alarmed them.) Yesterday they just seemed to be enjoying the splashes; dramatic entrances and exits. I think they're glad to be back.

Thanks All, for the kind words. As for the timing, it was more a matter of "hold down the shutter button" then delete all the shots that were too early or too late! ;-)
