Hadn't been able to visit the family for about 2 weeks. The chick sure has grown though the feathers are still mostly chocolate brown fuzz. That will be gone soon and replaced by a more mottled gray look. Saturday will be the official "loon count" in Maine and these two and the second adult should be added to the state wide totals.
Had our "Great Northern Diver" count this a.m. All present and accounted for! ☺
