Missed the actual "transfer" but this adult was carrying a small fish to the young chick.

This is super focus and catching him having caught the fish and not swallow it - quite unique! He's a different sort of duck - grey with a black head. fav

@maggiemae Maggiemae, No, not a duck. Here in New England we call then common loons. Over in "Old England" (U.K.) I just learned they're known as "Great Northern Divers.

@katrinastabback @eyesmile Thanks. (Gena, That's the wonderful thing about the kayak. My best piece of "photographic" equipment by far. It does put me pretty much on their level and they're so used to me by now that they often let me drift very close!
