Unfortunately, I missed the best pic of mummy robin feeding her little one as the baby hopped out of the way when I picked my camera up. We have a lot of nests in the garden again this year. We have a robin's nest in both the front and back garden, a wrens nest in the ivy on the front of the house, the blue tits are feeding young in the nesting box and we have blackbirds nesting in the conifer outside. I think we also have pigeons in a couple of places too. I love this time of year watching all the young being fed, leaving the nest, etc. The swallows are also nesting in the bus shelter in Cardington where I work as well. It's a wonderful time of year and today the sun has actually shone too
It's a maternity ward in your garden! I'm going to have to look harder - the magpies have been gathering so I'm guessing there are young somewhere but I haven't noticed any....
Wonderful images - just love this time of year too - our garden is a little on the "wild" side and we have lots of nests too! Our blue tits were really late this year - didn't think we were going to get any takers on the nestbox that has been used for years - it's rented out now though! : ))
