Thrush - one of my feathered friends by rosiekind

Thrush - one of my feathered friends

I was thrilled today to see a pair of thrushes in the garden when I came home from work. I know that one has been coming regularly for breakfast but it was lovely to think he/she had brought a mate! I'm hoping they will nest in the hedge again as they haven't done that for 2 or 3 years. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a photo of them both together but I liked this shot which was taken through the kitchen window. I really must find time to clean the windows! But I keep going out walking to take photos every afternoon when the weather is fine as it's just too good an opportunity to miss. Much better than being at home cleaning windows! I'm not a great fan of housework but I do keep it reasonably clean although not always that tidy. I used to have a plaque that said "Boring women have immaculate homes" and as I don't want to be boring, I don't have an immaculate home! LOL

Really I don't need to leave the garden to get shots of birds and my nesting wool and hanger arrived today as well as the CD for the software for my camera so I must get on and get it set up.

I'm off to the AV group at camera club tonight so I may not get a chance to view and comment on your pics but will try to catch up later.

Best viewed on black if you have time

In the meantime, thanks for viewing and commenting on my project. It is always much appreciated.

Do you already have green showing in your garden? I haven't seen mine for weeks because of the snow. Maybe there's green under all the white stuff.

Wonderful shot, fabulous bird, nowhere near as common as they once were. I have not seen one in the garden for a while now, but something is leaving empty Snail shells around, so while have to keep my eyes open.
