I went for a long walk this afternoon and walked about 3 miles all round Dovecote Lake via the cycle track which also doubles as a footpath. I hadn't really intended to walk so far as I thought it would be really cold across the fields by the lake but actually it wasn't that bad. As I walked back via Danish Camp, I saw this little chaffinch who kindly posed for me. Although it started off a very grey day, the sun came out and only about 8 miles away they had snow for a few minutes. We didn't get it here though and the wind has continued to blow. However, it was still quite nice out in the sunshine and I put my hood up against the wind which is unusual for me as it stops me hearing the birds. I did put it down again when I was walking in sheltered spots.
Thank you for your kind comments and Favs - it is always much appreciated.
What a lovely clear shot Rosie :)
