I'm not quite sure which it is but if you can identify this little bird, please do let me know. He flew off before I had a chance for another shot. I took this as I was walking along Wood Lane but the sky had turned all black and I felt a couple of spots of rain so I turned back. Of course after I had come back home, it all cleared away and the sky was blue again - sods law!
Nice capture, I would say it is a Chiffchaff I base this on the dark eye strip and pale supercilium, dark ear covert which shows up the white eye ring which is divided by the dark eye strip at the front and rear,the dark legs and the overall off white under parts and the slight buff tinge . Though I could be wrong
@ray_milsted He took me by surprise but I've always got my camera switched on and the lens cap off when I go walking. I was pleased to get a quick shot before he flew off
