Stirring it up

This is a picture of my wonderful mother. She was the happiest in the kitchen. I took this in 2005. In June of 2008 she went to be with her husband and they are both with their Lord and Savior. I miss them and have felt quite empty at times, but a couple days ago I heard something that made me feel somewhat better that I hadn't thought of before.
I, me, this person, was made up by them, so a little bit of them still exist in me. The reason I am posting this today, is this would have been her 88Th birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOTHER
awww....happy birthday to your mom :-) I am sure that she is spending her birthday in a happy place :-) This is such a great photo. I love seeing photos that represent the person totally. The fact that she was the happiest in the kitchen, really shows here. She is beautiful!

And, you are most right! Little bit of both of them, still live on in YOU! Isn't life amazing?

Richard, that is so true, and i am sure she is so happy that you know that. She looks so beautiful and you are a credit to her. I lost my father in 2005 and often want to tell him about somthing i have seen or done and then realise i cant, but i am sure i will someday.

My dad died at age 68 almost two years ago. I remember taking a walk and thinking about how a part of me died with him, and then I realized a part of him lives on in me as well. I like that idea. I still miss him every day as I'm sure you do your mother.
