Yesterday, looking out my window, this was happening. A stand off with neighborhood cats. Well, one is sitting. The one that is in control of himself. The other one is about ready to explode. Notice it's tail. They were like this between five to ten minutes. In the end the black one ever so slowly turned and walked away. the white one which has been nicknamed (pants) (because of black hind legs) just sat there till the black one was gone. So lesson from the white one, if you choose to (not) engage, there is more of a chance for a peaceful ending, it could have gotten real nasty.
