There was an Easter egg hunt today at the church I attend. There were 23 kids that came to have a good time, not only collecting eggs, but eating sandwiches, and cookies, and most of all hearing again the reason of the Easter season. This little girl is Emma, she is the third child of four in this great family. She was born with no eyes. She goes to a regular school (with help of course) and is actually an inspiration to all that know and talk with her. She is just a delight to be around and hear how she talks about things.
@swguevin@buttercup Thank you, there was also a kids song sung by four kids with hand puppets singing with a dvd. the kids were behind a partition so not to be seen, the puppets were above the partition. A short time after I had the idea to take one of the pippets to Emma so she could (see) it. I knelt down next to her, and she put her hands all over it as I made like the puppet was talking to her, telling her what part she was touching. The look on her face and the joy that I could see in her as I write about it brings tears to my eyes.
It was a true blessing to me. I wish I could have filmed it.
@rrt That's priceless, Richard. Thanks so much for sharing! Makes me feel good. Oh, by the way, I just put a homemade berry coffee cake in the oven 10 minutes ago!!
