The churchyard at St Mary's, Merton

The present church at St Mary's dates from the 12th century, although Augustinian monks had founded a church on the site which predated the Domesday Book. The churchyard is currently overgrown with wild spring flowers, but looks quite beautiful.
Wow the history - I image all of the people from so long ago who were interred here, the wildflowers and grasses bring a feeling of serenity.
