This was my attempt to capture the gateway leading to Sutton Place, while I was in the passenger seat being driven past on the motorway.

Built around 1525, Sutton Place was purchased by J Paul Getty in 1959, and he lived there until his death in 1976. Despite being one of the richest people in the world, he was notoriously mean and installed a coin-operated phone in his house so visitors had to pay for calls. The house contained many of his collected artworks, which transferred to the Getty Museum after his death. Mark Getty, J Paul Getty's grandson, founded the photo agency Getty Images.
