Get Pushed Challenge: I have been doing this challenge on and off...
Oh, what a beauty! And what a magnificent shot. You've caught that feeling of freedom and movement so wonderfully, Sally. Totally glorious. A fav for me!
Your comments on my shadow shot with Sadie sent me on the hunt for a pic of your horses and I am just so crazy for this shot - love this!! My husband can ride bareback like this but I am not that accomplished :) Beautiful horse too!!
@vega I don't have my own horse but friends have a herd of 14 horses that are mostly ex polo horse rescues. They have recently bought some youngsters in that can carry heavier weights. They offer trail rides to anyone from absolute beginners to experienced riders. Thunder (pictured here) is being ridden by their eldest son who is just amazing with horses in general. Thunder is 19 years old, a Thoroughbred they rescued when his polo career was over. He is a very feisty horse but is so well trained that a total beginner or novice can easily ride him. He has a special place in all our hearts. I have only been riding for 18 months and have ridden him plenty of times. I'm riding a youngster at the moment (Pedro) who is 5 years old and still in a learning phase.
@salza Hi Sally, just a quick note to tell you I just had to share this pic an your comments with my husband who really enjoyed both. My husband has been riding most of his life and is AMAZING and I have only been riding 6 years but because I have been a mom and work full time I have only had so much time to gain experience and would only consider myself intermediate. My little girl is an full Arabian and my husband rides an Arab/Morgan cross. We love to trail ride and do a lot of horse camping trips in the spring summer - am hoping I can get some nice pics of our girls in action this year without making them look like donkeys or camels :)
