Duthie Park Winter Gardens

A lovely catch up with a friend today and we walked along familiar streets from student days,, reaching the Winter Gardens for lunch, lots of chat and a nostalgic wander round the 'glass houses'.
This photo is not the most colourful but the smell and light and something magic reminded me of my final year of my B.Ed degree when I chose Drawing and Painting as one of my practical subjects.
Chemistry was my other one!
When I needed inspiration this is where I spent mornings drawing and breathing in the refreshing aromas of growing plants. Ahhhh!!!
Three good things
1. A smooth ride in the brand new hybrid bus on our route. They are very impressive double decker buses, and were pretty full.
2. Delicious soup for lunch
3. New items for my make up bag.....I don't use much but left my usual bag at Mum's so..
What a lovely shot and a wee reminder for me of days gone by when I used to go there when the kids were little - especially on a rainy day!

It really does look a winter garden....lovely pale wintry leaves. One small shot of red & I think Jeremy Corbyn is hiding in there!
