It was so lovely and sunny at Mum's yesterday and the grass had been cut last week. The daffodils and yellow Forsythia along by the fence caught my eye and I propped up the 'tablet' beside the trunk of the tree to remember the details.
I've shared this before and lots of photos of the tree which is part of my history really.
Mum was a schoolgirl who watched the tree being planted .....
"THIS TREE WAS PLANTED BY WILLIAM ROSS, PROVOST OF TAIN, TO COMMEMORATE THE CORONATION OF THEIR MAJESTIES, KING GEORGE VI. AND QUEEN ELIZABETH. MAY 12th, 1937"
And our family moved into No 3 in January 1957......I was one year old.
Mum knew two families who lived in the house before that and lots of lovely connections over the years.
Three good things
1. Memories
2. Sunlight
3. More time than usual to play on here!!!
Thank you for your lovely comments.
