November 10th was my Dad's birthday - this time of year is full of memories.
But yesterday we noticed the Meldrum House Hotel vehicle across at the petrol station, reminding us we still had a voucher to use. When I called them they had a table for this evening.
So it was lovely to spend the evening celebrating rather than feeling flat!
Mum and Dad's 40th wedding anniversary dinner (1994) for my family was held at the hotel so lots of memories too.
We walked there and back as it was a lovely evening, not at all cold and not too dark. We'd chosen the Cave Bar which has a cosy ambiance and quite a history, and had a fantastic meal with a delightful French Martini cocktail 🍸 to finish. I'm not sure if I have had one before but won't forget this one.
This could be a rather nice way to break the gloom of November!
