My grandmother's family has outgrown her tiny house, and though we've squished ourselves in there for years, there are so many small children now it just can't contain that much energy. So this year we found a park just down the road with a (heated) lodge to rent for the afternoon and evening.
Only, it was 60 degrees. This is unheard of. Our area didn't just break the record high, it smashed it into little tiny pieces and fed them to the reindeer. :)
So the little playground next to the lodge? We played and played and played. And I got to take golden hour playground photos of my kids having oodles of fun in fancy outfits on Christmas Eve and I think that might have been the best Christmas present I might ever get in my whole life!
