A Journey of 5,000 Steps

Starts when you walk out the front door.

I asked my family for a fitbit for Mother's Day. Only time will tell how effective it is at helping me get in shape and lose weight - though early results look promising - but 10 days in I'm still highly motivated to make all those goals turn green every day and beat yesterday's numbers...it's at least as satisfying as checking things off of my to-do list. :)

However, I'm still trying to figure out how to balance being more active and fitting in computer time for things like photography. I'm pretty sure I've hardly sat down in the past 10 days except to practice for a couple of upcoming accompanist jobs. (And I have to remember to take off my fitbit wristband, because playing piano racks up the step count pretty quickly!)
How cool. Keep up the great work!!!

Awesome. Keep it up. I've just bought some kettlebells and I also have a treadmill..and exercising really helps to keep me sane lol

You are one busy gal -- with all these activities and three kids. I''ve lost a lot of my energy over the years. I'm afraid the computer and 365 would win over the exercise -- unfortunately. Good for you, however..........

I have the same water bottle. The fitbit is great motivation. I'm competitive, even with myself, and like seeing the number grow. Good luck.
