Our shop had a "stitch and pitch" night at our local minor league ballpark tonight. This month's charity project is making little blankets for the local animal shelter - it helps the kitties feel safe and they get to bring them home with them when they are adopted so something familiar goes with them.
Since Carolyn is still a pretty new knitter, she and I cooked up a plan where we'll each knit a bunch of corner-to-corner squares and then sew them together - this way she can contribute as much as she's able without the overwhelming idea of a whole 24" square blanket.
At this point the game was over and we stayed to listen to the concert after for a little while.
