Our region did a "horses on parade" charity thing many years ago, where groups and individuals decorated fiberglass horse statues and then various organizations bid on them, and the funds that were raised went to several charities. There were lots of really creative horses - our minor league baseball stadium has a horse covered in old baseball gloves.
This was at least 15 years ago, so not many are still on display, but this horse stands in one of our village parks, and as I was walking by the strong late afternoon light and shadows on it caught my eye. So. A painted horse, sort of on parade...
