Frozen Bubbles

When the ambient air temperature (we won't discuss wind chills) is a balmy 3°F/-16°C, it seems inevitable that one must figure out how to freeze bubbles and take photos of them.

It involved corn syrup, extension tubes, and really, really cold cheeks.
Wow that's beautiful - seeing these done is making me envious (only slightly!) of others cold weather!
