Sandpiper

Alan asked me to go and take photos of his boat, Sandpiper, again today. He had a party group aboard and wants some pics for his advertising brochures. He can't afford to pay me anything, but I need experience and practice anyway so it's a win-win as I will now start learning to direct him into position for the shots he has described to me he wants.
Yes, make yourself the expert! Is there a higher vantage point you could use?

I think a cruise on the boat with a bottle of champagne might be suitable payment...

@anniesue . No unfortunately there isn't a higher vantage point. For this shot (which was not according to "my client's" brief) I was on one of the groins. He actually liked this shot when he saw it, but his brief to me had been to be on the beach (even lower) and to get a wide angle shot with all three leading lights on both sides of the entrance in the shot with the boat. (I did follow his brief as well), but I think he may use one of the more zoomed in shots like this instead.

@narayani Yes, he has promised me a free cruise on his yacht when he has spare capacity. His boat is registered for about 13 people plus himself and another qualified crew member, so he can't exceed that number.
