I used to go to the river every day - sometimes walking the dogs in the morning and then go by myself in the evening for the sunsets. But after getting Max & Charlie it became more effort, and I started walking around the marina instead. But tonight I decided to take the dogs there for their walk again. I'd almost forgotten how the glorious light and golden tones used to lift my spirits. I'll have to try and get back into my old habits
@cottiac The larger bird is a grey heron. The heron actually looks smaller than it usually looks when it is wading in the water because it is all crouched down into itself. There was quite a chilly breeze blowing - you can see the water is all rippled up, and if you look carefully you can see the heron's chest feathers are blowing out
