Supermoon

Up at the crack of dawn to shoot the setting supermoon with the sun about to rise behind us
well done! I think we get it this evening - if it stops being cloudy!

@anniesue Thanks Annie-Sue. It is actually this evening for us too, when the moon rises but lately the wind has been horrendously bad in the afternoons and evenings so my friend and I thought we would rather take our chances early in the morning for moonset. Sometimes the wind is so bad in the afternoons that I worry my tripod will blow over, so I wonder about the stability!

@cottiac @narayani Thanks Cottia and Narayani. As it happens wind has actually dropped tonight - but evenings are so busy now that I am having to water the garden in the evenings while my dad is in hospital. (He is looking a lot better now so there is some hope that he will pull through after all. He said he wants to die now, so all I said was tonight wasn't a good time because it's Mom's birthday tomorrow.)

Beautiful blue hour photo.. I really like the ships on the horizon.

@sarasotab Thanks Robert. Glad you could even notice the ships on the horizon. The zoomed in picture showed the ships more clearly, and the moon of course, but I felt like I needed the space in the wide angle

@beckyk365 @narayani @cottiac @777margo Thanks all. My Dad was looking better but he has been transferred to a large hospital in Cape Town for more tests. Waiting to hear if he will be coming back to our local hospital tomorrow, or if I need to plan a trip to Cape town to visit him. The specialists there think he may have had a stroke that wasn't correctly diagnosed when I rushed him to Casualty just over 2 weeks ago
