Playing around

Decided to treat myself to setting up a table top shot this afternoon. The sun was already low in the sky and moving quickly so there wasn't much time. This is just the start of an idea that I need to build on to end up with a keeper. My old jewellery box that I have had almost forever. I remember buying it in a Chinese shop in Beira on one of our few holidays, with pocket money saved up. Granny's old necklace and cameo. Perhaps I should take away the cameo and add some earrings? Or maybe add a rose for colour, and step further back? I think there is potential anyway.
I like the tones and the sheen - but, yes, try some variations if you have time. I'd open the box lid a little to give a sense of abundance

@anniesue That's a good idea. Thanks I will try that .... kind of like a pirate's treasure chest is always seen partly open? Now why didn't I think of that before!

@seacreature yes, it's definitely tried and tested!

Yes I agree with @anniesue I also think stepping back like you thought would be good. And maybe lose the doily so you get some reflections?

@narayani yes! on that shiny shiny table @seacreature (but I do like the matt nature of casket and pearls)

@narayani @anniesue Thank you both so much for the fantastic feedback. Now I am feeling motivated to make some time to try and reshoot with your ideas thrown into the pot to see what I can come up with
