Copy Cat

I tried copying a seemingly simple photo by Mat Colishaw, because I realised the magic in his image must be in the lighting. So I have just used bits and pieces I could find at home. I haven't kept an empty green wine bottle, so just used the blue one I'd saved, and the shape of the bottle and glass are wrong! And I need wider planks - but this was all I had. The main thing I learned is that I have a lot to learn about lighting. And I'm sure he didn't have to drag pieces of furniture around the house to stand bedside lamps on to try and get the light at the right height and angle ... but I had fun trying!
photography work-out! ;-)

I shared first prize on Rate My Photo, and won a photography e-book for this attempt at the challenge which was "Study The Masters" and the 2nd part of the challenge was to say what one had learned from studying the master.

@bf2016 Thanks so much Barbara. This is not really my creativity as I was attempting to copy a Mat Collishaw image I saw on the internet, so ethically I can't consider it my own. I have learned a lot, and will try setting up something else using what I have learned, and maybe even using the same planks ... but copying doesn't feel right
