Well - I don't know if he was a mariner, but he looks pretty ancient to me. Joan, who runs the local police community forum phoned me this morning to tell me the Rotary Club have purchased a much needed printer and shredder for our local police station. John, who leads the local Rotary club is wheelchair bound, and his wife can barely walk any longer, so the presentation was to take place in their home. The local newspaper didn't have a reporter available, so Joan asked me to take a photo for the paper, which I gladly did, after which I indulged in some portraiture which I really enjoy!
@narayani Yes, he sure has. I have no idea how old this couple is, but they both look pretty ancient to me, and it astounded me that they are still living in their own home, and John's frail, bent over, little wife, June, on crutches, is managing to get him bathed each day and into an armchair!
@s4sayer Thank you. I think our police are so under - resourced that the police captain was only too happy to take some time out of his day to accept the donation of a much needed shredder and printer. I was glad to go along too - although it cut into my day a bit, it is all good experience and the way I am going to become known and get my name out there as a local photographer
