This composition would be so much better with a rose ... but I happen to have zinnias at the moment so I should make good use of them while I can for they will soon be gone. In fact even now I am struggling to find perfect blossoms - they are being battered and burned in the crazy hot wind we have been having and I think it is almost the end of the season anyway
Lovely shot. My little magnolia tree got totally fried a couple of weeks ago when we had weather like that. There is some new growth coming so I hope it makes it.
@narayani If there is new growth and you had some rain, I'm sure it will. Makes me think - I should try and find a little magnolia to plant for myself. So pretty and such a gorgeous smell
@sunnygirl@ludwigsdiana Thank you. I am not all that happy with the colour - I always struggle with pinks in artificial light and to me it looks a little bit garish. But I have to work out how to do it because one day I may have a bridesmaid or granddaughter in a pink dress perhaps? So I will continue to play around with my torch and other lighting at night and attempt to get the colour right
