Door by serendypyty

Door

A door on my advent calendar which has been 'accidently' slightly opened at the corner. It was a light-hearted birthday present, the other day, from my daughter as I haven't had one of these for as long as I can remember. I was quite chuffed as a piece of Galaxy each day fills me with a tadge of childish excitement. πŸ˜€
Fab idea for today’s word. Are you tempted to eat it now?

I have a chocolate advent calendar waiting to happen too! Hotel Chocolat just for fun. I can feel the thrill of excitement at the opening of the corner of this door! Galaxy chocolate is awesome too :)

Cool! This makes me think of the Jimmy Buffet song... what is waiting behind door number three. If you don’t know the song it refers the show β€œLet’s Make a Deal.” Lyrics are here if interested: https://genius.com/Jimmy-buffett-door-number-three-lyrics

@wakelys I resisted the temptation to eat it and the calendar is back in the cupboard for the rest of November.

@kvphoto I hadn't heard of this song but have now listened to it a couple of times thanks to your link. Quite a catchy song!

I think Advent calendars are fun. I don't think I've ever had one although I've bought the ones with chocolate as a prize each day for friends.

Well, you are certainly going to have a good time with that!

@serendypyty I'm a huge fan of Jimmy Buffett... he is a great storyteller and his tunes are catchy.

@kjarn @grammyn @photographycrazy @linnypinny I don't have a lot of will power when it comes to Galaxy chocolate but I'll try to be good. πŸ˜€

@randystreat As a child I shared an advent calendar with my brothers at Christmas. We took it in turns to open the door and there was a picture behind - no chocolate treats back then and it was just as exciting.

I do like an advent calendar! But a picture behind does me just fine! Nice capture.

Have fun! Great closeup.

Probably the anticipation of Christmas was higher because you were children.
