This is a butterfly I found in my backyard. I cropped a lot of this shot to make the butterfly stand out more. Shayna went to a drama club meeting after school and later that evening she went to a chorus concert at the school while mom and I walked around the nearby mall. Does anyone know what kind of butterfly this might be?
Wow- at first I didn't even see it! I thought it was a leaf! It's a little overexposed so it's hard to tell what the actual color is. However, the closest picture in my book is a Least Skipper. But it doesn't really match the description the way it looks in this shot. I don't know if they start out with this type of marking and mature or if this butterfly is just not in my book. That's all the info I could get.
This butterfly does look like a leaf! I don't know what kind it is. I have difficulties getting butterfly shots because they move so fast. I took some shots of a moth this week, but did not post any because I got blurred wings in the shots.
