OK - I have a problem. I'm addicted to Coach purses.
I bought my first one a little less than a year ago. I was at Spring Training with my friend Coop. Practice was over, it was well before dinner time, and she thought it would be a good idea to do some outlet shopping. I had some spare cash that my hubby had given me from his poker winnings, and I bought my first Coach bad. I thought that would be it, but I found myself hooked.
But in all fairness, I did not have one adult purse prior to that day. Any of the purses I've bought in the past year have complemented my purse wardrobe, either in terms of color or size. And I always shop the discounts, and never even go to Coach unless they're offering a 20% or 30% off discount.
So I'm officially past the point of needing any more Coach bags. Which doesn't meant that I don't want them. But I'm trying to be reasonable about it.
Such as last night's purchase. First of all, my hubby had won some money in a Super Bowl pool, so again I was dealing with house money, so to speak. And Coach had a 20% off coupon. And these two bags were on clearance - 50% off. I spent well less than $100 last night, and the bag on the right was marked down to $28! It's easy to justify a splurge purchase under those circumstances.
That said, I'm saying this publicly - I think I need to take a break from Coach for a while. As much as I love my bags, and I do love them, I recognize the fact that I have enough now and that I need to stop. Or at least slow down....
