Today we went to the Silver Decoy Winery ( http://www.silverdecoywinery.com/ ), our favorite local winery, as part of New Jersey's Wine and Chocolate Tasting Trail weekend.
I discovered this winery three years ago, when I participated in the annual Hair of the Dog 5K that they host. My husband and I returned to the winery for our anniversary that year, and even though we showed up while they were closed one of the owners opened up the tasting room for us anyway. Between the quality of the wine and the lovely people who own and operate the place, we are now frequent visitors and customers.
I took several pictures this afternoon, but this was my favorite - one of the owners pouring a sample of the winery's newly released wine, to be paired with some delicious truffles. It was a charming and tasty scene.
