Meet Joey

This is my Mam's new budgie. Sadly she has to have her old budgie put to sleep last week after having him for 5 1/2 years. Since then she has found her house too quiet and lonely, so today I took her to see a friends Dad who breed birds and Joey came home with her. It is not a very good picture because he was quite unsure and a little stressed having just left his Mam and siblings and being put in a new cage. He is only 9 weeks old. It took a while before I got a picture that wasn't too blurred because he was flying about so much.

Only tiny but they do make the nicest little companion. We have a yellow and green budgie called John Deere after the John Deere tractors with the same colours. Joey looks a very alert little budgie :)
