We had a ride to Lowther Castle to see the Ceramic daffodils. There are over fifteen thousand ceramic daffodils 'planted' in the grounds of Lowther Castle. They are inspired by the poem by William Wordsworth. Potter Helen Ratcliffe led the project and the sale of the daffodils will raise money for 6 charities. The large daffodil head sitting in the centre of the others is one of a number that were made and will be auctioned at some point.
