Well Tree by shirleybankfarm

Well Tree

This little cottage sits beside the river Lyvennet on the outskirts of a small village called Kings Meaburn. You can just see through the trees behind the cottage a craggy outcrop of limestone which has a sandstone base. This is known as Jackdaw scar and it got it's name because it is home to a colony of Jackdaws.

A very interesting house - that stone is so beautifully laid. Is it two houses do you think? No, not with just one gate in that lovely old stone fence!

@deborah63 @maggiemae @onewing @hermann @anniesue @gijsje @flowerfairyann @pyrrhula it is a lovely cottage with a lovely setting as the river is where I am stood. It has been renovated and the left end stoned bit has been added to the house. It is now a holiday let.
