Peacock butterfly

This is the Peacock butterfly I spotted a couple of days ago. This was the best shot I got of it because when I tried to get round the back to get both wings - off it went.

They don't stay still long do they! I have seen a few peacocks so far but not close enough to photo.

I hope these beautiful little butterflies have found somewhere warm to hide at the moment, the weather here is very cold (it was down to -2.3C last night). We also have had wintry showers all week.
