We are having problems with crows pecking holes in the plastic of these big bales of silage. If this happens the silage inside will go mouldy then the cattle will not eat it. Here my husband is patching the holes with tape, and putting a layer of old carpet over the top, held down with old tyres. This will stop the crows being able to peck the plastic. I took the shot for the sky really but there was not a lot else around to use as a silhouette to add interest!!
Possibly best viewed on black if you have time
I think this is a great shot, with that super dramatic sky, the dramatic silhouette of your husband, and the mysterious dark items (I thought they were cars at first). One of your best. Fav.
@shepherdman@gijsje@hermann@happypat@cutekitty@maggiemae@tonydebont@annepann@peterlgrave@deborah63 Thank you all for you comments and Fav's. Shepherdman, I don't know why the crows find these bales so fascinating, there is nothing in there for them. It is either curiosity or they are attacking their reflection in the shiny plastic. Pat and Kitty we have tried painting on the bales with white but it didn't seem to deter them.
