My Dad was a bricklayer, God rest his soul, and he always said that robins were bricklayer's ghosts, as winter's not a good time for bricklayers. Try laying bricks with gloves on!
Anyway, things were looking bad today when this particular "ghost" turned up to help - he was very inquisitive and allowed me a few shots - however, as soon as I went for the longer lens - nowhere to be seen! Thanks anyway!
@dave_rv Thanks Dave, the little chap just sat up nicely for me. It's just a shame the sky didn't have a bit more blue in it - the river would've looked that bit more cheerier.
@tomo87 No, it wasn't, it was the trusty 15-85. Wasn't even thinking about wildlife - I was hoping the sun would turn up and I'd get Maud Heath's Causeway in the frost. No sun, no frost! Fortunately the also trusty 7D was on Spot AF (which I tend to use a lot, perhaps too much) and the shot came out much better than expected if I'm honest.
@snaggy a bit of bokeh out of ol' trusty 15-85...nice... Which one is spot af... Is that where you pick the point? That's the one I use, what I'm most comfortable with being similar to the old 550d.
