This is our village church's Lychgate, where traditionally the pall-bearers can shelter during a funeral (its all fun tonight!).
Anyway, it was really just a nice place to take a photograph on our first day of snow this year - another 30 second exposure in very dark conditions. Composition was a bit of a compromise (I had to stand in the road, although it is pretty quiet!), but compared to my other attempts around the village, it's ok.
I think it's grand. The reflectiveness of the snow has probably helped increase the brightness during that long exposure - I honestly thought it was a daytime shot at first.
@joeboo@steampowered@paulavdmerwe@nebzphoto Thanks all for your comments, with a special mention for JoeBoo ;-(). I was amazed how it came out actually - was a bit dark SOOC, hit the white selector thingy (selected on the snow) on Lightroom and bang, there it was.
