Have had a good look and can't find them anywhere. I would have said a variety of celandine until you mentioned they are over 5ft high. Maybe you can find out from a local plant shop or nursery. Would love to know if you do get it identified.
Certainly can Diana! Had a clump of these from Mum's garden but they spread so much I dug them all out!! they are a type of Helianthus, the same family as the sunflower. In general Helianthus x multiflorus and then there are different species.......hope you can take it from there. Either google, or do you have the RHS book of garden plants? @maggie2@rosiekind@girlie
