I could have done a much better job with this shot but as it was my wedding anniversary I had other priorities. At least I was able to salvage the cake (see yesterday's disastrous pic) and whipped up a one-layer strawberry cake to stack between the banana cake layers. I had the brilliant time-saving idea to put instant banana pudding between the layers and topped it all with banana buttercream. My husband wound up liking it just fine.
I like the irony of the background... very clever.
