Hogan Bath House by sprphotos

Hogan Bath House

In the hundred years between 1833 and 1933 the City of Montreal constructed 23 public baths. This was done to promote hygiene in industrialized areas of the city where hot water was not readily available.
As things progressed the baths were turned into swimming pools and eventually some of them were closed.
The Hogan baths in Pointe Saint Charles, not far from the Lachine Canal, have been converted to condos - Good Hunter
A beautiful building!
