Plum Gut by stownsend

Plum Gut

We left that beautiful calm anchorage for a ride that was like a washing machine! Plum Gut is know for being a rough area in Long Island Sound so we chose our time and our tides and headed out. It was extremely rough with the waters going every which way but it wasn't too bad. We just had to hang on or we would get thrown about. We made it to Port Jefferson in time for cocktails!
beautiful, especially in b&w

Great b&w! Nothing quite like the feeling of being in the world's largest washing machine!

I love the view, as though I'm on the boat. I'll bet it was hard to hold the camera still.

not so fond of rough weather..or should i say rough waves. when i immigrated in 1955 i came by ocean liner and i remember dancing at night by the swaying of the boat you had one foot in the air and didn't know where to put it down.
