I don't know my birds but someone suggested this is a Molleyhawk. Does anyone know

no that is not a mollymawk, this is a juvenile black backed gull

There is also a bird called a mollymawk. -in NZ this is the juvenile of the southern black-backed gull. But this one doesn't look like them. Its a great catch!

Looks more like a gull of some kind to me too by the shape of the beak and mottling, but it is a beauty of a shot whatever it is!
